Feel the lick-a-bility

Alright folks, or the one or two people who actually read my blog. I have officially caved in to my inner Euro, and have developed a Faux-hawk. But dont judge me just yet. I have always craved to have an official hawk, but due to my skin pigmentation, my scalp would fry in just a few moments of the light of the sun. Then you may say...hey, you live in Seattle, and therefore know not the sun. The Faux-hawk is the most aerodynamic haircut for high rain conditions. The rain now simply runs down either side of my perfect hair-roof, avoiding my eyes, nostrals, and other bits and pieces in the process.

2. Muse - Butterflys and Hurricanes
3. Smashing Pumpkins - Marquis In Spades

Im not dead (yet)

Hey there. Been a while. I havn't really been able to think of anything to write about. GF is on a visit right now, and the rents come next week. Should be interesting. Its really wierd to talk to someone again on a daily basis. Usually I just wake up, go to school, have the normal danish banter inbetween classes, go home, silence (except for music) until dinner time, cook, talk a little more in danish, then maybe/possibly/definately go to the bar with friends. Thats about 2 hours of solid conversation that I perticipate in a day. Now with the big C here, its talk talk talk, nap, talk talk talk. Not to complain, I just enjoy the silence. Decided that I hate economics. I dispise statistics. I would rather swallow broken glass than do math. And fuck formulas. Im going into International Studies as my second major instead of Econ. Pure liberal arts....want a hot apple pie with that?

1. Faithless - Insomnia
2. Aphex Twin - bit 4

Fade In....

Alright...Starting to realize more and more. Im not really good at this Blogging shit. I have no witty observation banter all Seinfeld-esque, nor do I have the poetic skills of Elliot Smith. I can tell you one thing though. I would make a damn good Dark Wave rockstar.

Maybe the only two things that I am good at are knowing music, and learning languages. That might open up a career path for me. Opening up a chain of indie asshole record stores all over europe. Makeing trips to visit so I can sit and scowl at the shopppers, scrutinizing all their choices. Like John Cusack in Hi Fidelity. By the way, would it be considered normal or a kink that I have the hots for Joan Cusack? Not like I want the neck brace a la "Sixteen Candles", I just think she is hot

5 songs for you to munch on
The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (laika) ----best new band ever
Air/Dan the Automater - Le soleil est près de moi
Bjork - Oceania
Kashmir - Mom in Love, Dad in Space
Lata Mangeshkar - Wada Na Tod

Thought I would round that off with a little Bollywood Music. Man I miss Indian Food. You cant get good Lamb Vindaloo here :( And I realize that I fucked up on my last post with the titles and artists, but I am too lazy to change it.

Fade out...

Simple Pleasures...not so simple

The thing I miss more than anything is the simplicity of being a kid. As cliche as that sounds, its true. Things get more complicated as you get older. I still dont know how to deal with pain. Man..things where much simpler when the only time that you felt like crying was when Itreau lost Artex in the Swamp of Sadness (If you cant remember the Neverending Story...Fuck you). Thats all I really want to say in this post. Sorry for the shortness...not really in the mood to talk.

5 songs
The Frail/The Wretched (live) - Nine Inch Nails
Anything by the Beta Band
The Back Seat - The Arcade Fire
Stone in Focus - Aphex Twin
Dandilion - Boards of Canada (short but sweet)

Bah, first thing I want to say is the spanierds cannot handle their alchohol. The party was awesome, until they started stealing bottles of tequila from the storage room that they broke into. All hell broke loose, and we had to regulate. (yeah, my idea of regulating is ringing a bell and saying everyone out) Still it was fun. Perks of the job. Going along with Mzmeg's little splat on the internet I will give a rundown of the costumes
Pro
Italian dude dressed up as a pregnate Italian woman! (Alberto, im the dad)

Scary Danish dude with shaved head and 2 toned face (thanks for buying me shots while I bartended)

Fat english girls dressed as greek goddesses. Fucking POMS and their drunken nastyness.

Rassoodocks and Droogs

Me again, Just finished putting the finishing touches on my costume for tommorow night. Have to work at a big party for like 250 people. Fun stuff. Maybe I will post some pictures if I get around to it. Sox won the series, kind of anticlimatic if you ask me. The Cards didn't even really give a fight. Not that I was rooting for the Cards, I'm just happy that the season is over, and with it that sandlot-esque phrase of the curse of the bambino.

5 songs for today.
Tiger Tunes - Up & Out
Air - Le Voyage de Penelope
Muse - Hysteria
Bjork - Aroura
Grandaddy - The Final Push to the Sum

Transmission end...

I actually made it into one of the national newspapers here today. Got interviewed for a good 2 hours yesterday on what it is like being an American abroad during the election. Oh well...the article is here, its in danish, and the majority of it you have to log in to see http://www.jp.dk/login?url=morgenavisen/mjpa:aid=2688094.
